ACR Downgrade causes problem with Bridge not showing thumbnails

I don't like ACR 12.3, so I downgraded to 12.2.1 (and I tried 11.4.1).  I ran into a problem with Bridge not showing the thumbnails for raw images -- it simply put the PS icon in place of the thumbnail.  I chatted with an Adobe "expert," and he/she couldn't get it to render the thumbnails.  He/she told me I needed to go back to ACR 12.3 to get the thumbnails.  He told me that my camera was too new, and 12.2.1 wasn't equipped for that.  Well, ACR 12.2.1 was certainly equipped for my camera a month ago.  Any suggestions?

You also need to downgrade Bridge. Can be done in the CC application by clicking on the ... next to the name of the software and selecting: Other Versions.

same happened to me - I did downgrade BOTH ACR AND BRIDGE. Some of the DNG Thumbnails files are not seen with the editing / cropping. They are shown as original files from the camera

Andrew, I don't understand.  I'm using Windows 10 in Bridge, but I don't see the name "Bridge" and the ellipse afterwards.  Can you help me understand where I should be looking?

I found it!  Should I go back only one version (10.0,4)?  I'll try that.
