I registered for an Adobe account from the Photoshop application with my email address and a 14 character password, which was accepted there. I receieved a confirmation email and followed the instructions to validate my account. However, the website would not accept the password I created. I was told the password could be no longer than 12 characters. Why didn't the sign up screen in Photoshop tell me this when I created new login info???

Can you log in from Photoshop? (Are you on Photoshop CS5?)

Click on the CS Live button in the upper right of the CS5 application bar and choose 'Sign In...'

What page on Adobe.com are you trying to log in to?

Jeffrey, I see what happened. When registering as a new account I selected and entered a 14 character password without giving me any indication I could only utilize a 12 character password. The last 2 characts of my chosen password were truncated and I was able to log in with the first 12 characters. It is not a problem now other than your system didn't tell me the password was restricted to 12 characters. I'm working! Thanks for your response.

Thanks for the update. Can you confirm which product allowed the 14 character input so I can follow up with the team? Thanks.

That probably means that you mistyped your email address, or that the email is stuck in a SPAM filter by mistake.
