Create folders with "Generate > Image Assets" feature.
If I name a folder for example "body/" and put layers "hand.png" and "leg, png" into it, it would create a folder in finder named body and the png images would be inside.

This is how Slicy app works and I couldn't work without it.. It's really great.

Any chance this feature would make it to photoshop?

... also - an option to change export location would be great

Cheers,
Adam

This now exists in Photoshop CC (2014 release).
Although no ability to change export location exists yet.

Very annoying, Scenario; I have 25  photoshop layered files I want the to export into 3 or more folders  called drawable-mdpi, drawable-hdpi and drawable xhdpi , I cant do it. I have to generate the files on a per psd file basis and then sort everything afterwards manually into their correct groups, what PAIN. Any solution? I don't want to combine 25 complex psd's into one file to achieve this......

try this

  1. foo/bar/bar.png; and
  2. 50% lo-res/bar.png + hi-res/bar.png
