Bridge: Ability to batch export Metadata from Adobe Bridge

Bridge would be a lot more useful if it had the ability to output Metadata to either CSV, Excel, PDF, or all of the above. When working for a client, a footage list is very often requested with a variety of the details which reside in Metadata. Ideally, the choice of what to save would be a list of Fields, Schema, or other ways in which to narrow down the range of choices.

Currently, Bridge can only export the Metadata of one file at a time - a rather useless feature, since Bridge's forte is managing hundreds, if not thousands of files.

Hi Joseph, this should be possible to do via a script. Do you have any experience scripting using Javascript?

I do not have any experience with JavaScript, but I've worked with a couple of other programming languages on a very basic level, so I could probably back into it. I did find a script which pulls the IPTC metadata from Bridge into a CSV file, but it's aimed at stills, whereas my work is all animation and video, so the fields and schemas it draws from don't really apply. I'm going to hack away at the script I have, and see if I can figure out a way to get the other Advanced Schema, such as creatorAtom project link, and other pertinent metadata (frame rate, dimensions, etc.) which apply to my work. Thanks.
