LIGHTROOM - Ability to flag faces as "Not someone".

When browsing similar faces, I would love a feature where I can flag faces as "not someone". (only have confirm button now.)

I would love to press a "not someone" button and the face will never pop up in the similar face suggestion or people main view as "someone". And furthermore, lightroom could learn from "not someone" tagged pictures to more accurately recognize faces.

"Not someone"? Or "Not someone I want to name"? Like an Ignore button?

I know I can delete uninteresting face region. But what I want to do is NOT delete the region but stop it from appearing in certain people's suggestions.

When working in a person's similar face suggestion, someone else constantly popping up is quite annoying. I know I can manually enter the "imposter"(?)'s name and get rid of him, but when working with similar face suggestions, I'd rather not break the concentration on the person I'm working on.

Of course, you could select around the "imposter" with shift and/or ctrl + click, but if that "imposter" keeps popping up in the suggestion list it's quite tedious.

So you kind of want to move those face regions to an 'ignore' section to get them out of the way. Have I understood that correctly?

Not 100% correct but... ignore section would be great!

What I meant was... (my native language is not English so bear with me ; ) ) When you're in the similar face suggestion view there is only two options with suggested faces. 1) This is the person A. 2) This is not A - Type in the person's name to move it out of the way.

What I want is a 3rd option : 3) This is not A, but don't bother me with name.
When you click it, the face is flagged "Not A" internally, and prevented from ever suggested as A ever. But it would show up in other person's suggestions.

But hearing about ignore section... It would be much easier to implement (and faster for me to get) and would work almost the same for me!

Ignore section would be great!

This has been suggested. Unfortunately, the current face engine does not support the capability to do negative training (not A) efficiently. Since you already at the point of making a decision, why not just name the face with the actual name or a place holder name like "unknown person" or "ignored person"? It could just be as efficient.

It would be great to be able to ignore faces rather than necessarily assign a name to a face.

As I understand your Idea, you would like to mark a face as positive - it detected a valid face - but it is a person which is not relevant for your photos.

I like this idea too, it would be especially useful for photos shot at events where only a handful of relevant persons are shoot in front of an crowd.

I would like a slight nuance. When in the "similar" module, it would be nice to be able to just click an x, rather than check, or click "delete", to remove that person from the batch of "similar". Ignore might be okay but you would have to be careful. Are you ignoring that face forever or just as compared to the "similar" face? Some of the faces are just the wrong name but I eventually want to catalog them. I don't want to take the time to name all the people, only the one person I'm working with at the moment. Also, we could help LR if there were a way to click "this is not a face". Mine catches lots of blank patches of grass, windows, etc.
