I am sure this has been suggested manytimes over the years, but why can’t we select multiple recent history steps, and then delete them all at once, instead of having to do each oneindividually?

To do this, we would select the lasthistory step, hold the Shift key, and click on a step several steps back, then holdon Option (Alt) while clicking on Delete current state (trashcan) icon (thatwould also change description to “Delete multiple states”) to delete then allat once. Seems like it would be a real timesaver.

Sorry, but I think I don't understand what you need. What's wrong with simply clicking on the last history state that's good and then going forward with new steps. That erases all of that unless, of course, you're using Non-linear history.  Are you talking about non-linear history?

That's the only time the trashcan makes a difference to the results. I find that option usually very confusing, but occasionally quite useful when I've deviated from my goal, done something that worked towards it, but wanted to eliminate something a bit further back without redoing the rest. Otherwise, I stick to linear history and just step backwards.

Yes, I use non-linear history option.
