PHOTOSHOP: A lot of layer comps in a document cause delays when nudging/moving layers, shapes or objects

I am working in Photoshop CC with a document that has 84 layer comps. The number of layer comps is causing delays when I try to nudge or move a layer into a new position with the mouse arrow.

Once I move the mouse, the object stays in place for about 10 seconds then moves slightly then pauses for another 5 seconds and moves into position.

I definitely know the layer comps are causing the problem because when they all have errors I am able to move objects freely. As soon as I refresh 2 or 3 layer comps the delay resumes. I also don't have issues when I'm working in another document with less layer comps at the same time as the problem document is open.

I have the newest MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB Memory 1600MHz DDR 3

I've attempted to allocate more RAM in my Photoshop Preferences and that doesn't fix the problem.

Hoping you can find a quick solution to this. It really slows down my workflow.

Thanks,

Yes, we know about this issue. And we have looked into it, but it needs more changes than we've had time to test properly.

I'm on CS6 and since using Layer Comps have noticed that my tools will not activate at times (it's a random problem).

The Tool bar shows it as an active tool, but my cursor remains as a 'not allowed' icon (circle with a slash).

By sometimes selecting another layer the tools reset, and I can continue, but more often than not a reboot of my system is required.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
