I have a iPhoto Library that I would like to transfer to Revel and keep the organization with folders and albums; how can i do that ?

I am a Revel and Photoshop CC subscriber.
What does the new 'Revel CC' mean for me. What do I need to do to be able to carry on using it.
All the links on Revel Facebook page lead me to my own Revel site! Is my subscription automatically transferred? I can no longer access Revel by desktop version but only via mobile/browser.
I only really use Photoshop CC and not Lightroom so would not like to have to change my workflow.
I have received NO email notifying me of changes and as all links I try lead me to my own site ,I am in the dark as to what is happening.
I have paid over £44 for the privilege of using it and not happy at present. ADOBE get your finger out and sort this out ASAP....please!

I just got an email saying that Revel will no longer be available after Feb 23 next year and that I need to download all my photos a re-upload them into a new app. Is this true?

Unfortunately there is no way to automatically transfer your Revel assets into the Creative Cloud Photography Plan. You have to download them from Revel first, then upload them using Lightroom to the Creative Cloud Photography Plan.
I apologize for the inconvenience. I am actually having to do it myself with my own 400gb Revel library so I share your inconvenience.

if I am correct the CC will not store high res images in the as per Revel as Adobe is moving away from Cloud Storage?
If so, what Cloud Storage option would you suggest?
What are yourself, Glenyse and the rest of the team going to use?
I'd like to ask, honestly how popular this is with the users that are Adobe employees?
All I hope is, that some displeasure at this decision (that isn't really a surprise, but I thought at least a compatible product may be in the offing) was voiced internally, even knowing how difficult that can be!

You are correct. The Creative Cloud Photography Plan syncs to mobile using smart previews and the originals are stored locally by the user. Adobe is planning on providing cloud storage for original photos in the future. So that's something to look forward to.
Those of us who used Revel and were fans are very very sad to see it go. We're all having to move the Creative Cloud Photography Plan and dealing with the same pain as our Revel customers.

Just take the risk and hope they don't leave to a concurrent....
It should be fair you offer a problemless migration from Revel to annother Adobe Storage. And I think it'a a big Joke you offer no such an alternativ anno 2015.

If you go to https://www.adoberevel.com/ (if you're automatically logged into your library when you visit that link temporarily log out - you will be able to log back in) and you'll see details on next steps. We have also included them above in abridged form.

Currently the Creative Cloud Photography Plan isn't set up for backup of originals in the cloud. Like Revel, the Creative Cloud Photography plan, via Lightroom desktop, provides the ability to sync photos across multiple devices. Lightroom desktop provides syncing of what we are calling "Smart Previews". Currently because Lightroom syncs Smart Previews and not the original image your library should easily sync in the 2gig without any issue. This does mean the originals would need to remain on your hard drive and you'd need to back them up externally.
For more information on smart previews check out this link. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/hel...
Hope this helps.

I completely understand your disappointment and I'm very sorry for the position you're put in.
I encourage you to give the Creative Cloud Photography Plan a try. The info at https://www.adoberevel.com/ (If you're automatically logged in log out temporarily) will help you understand your next steps.
If you subscribed via iTunes I encourage you to check with Apple for a refund.
If you have additional questions after checking out the info at https://www.adoberevel.com/ please feel free to check back.

This was in an email sent to me today. As a member, telling me what members told Adobe without asking all members is rude. It implies I am not part of a membership to which I pay a premium to belong.

I apologize for you feeling slighted. That wasn't the intent.
I'm not sure to what marketing was referring but I am guessing they do sample surveys of the Creative Cloud Photography plan membership from time to time. I will certainly pass on your comments to the product marketing team.

All the information about the transfer from Revel to the CC Photography Plan dos not address those of us who are have CC with Lightroom. What do you do?

If you already have Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile with your CC subscription you simply need to assure you have all your assets out of the the Revel cloud using the Adobe Revel Downloader (See the FAQ above or here for downloader details: https://www.adoberevel.com/transition-faq). To set up Lightroom and your devices with Lightroom Mobile check this link out https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/how-to/setup-computer-mobile-devices.html

1. I am Premium member
2. I have more than 150 GB uploaded. How many months should I all this data upload? Who pays for this time? Adobe?
3. In the new offer, not the original data is backed up, but only a smart-View. It's a scam! As a Premium Member was the agreement that the original data in Revel are stored.
4. I do not want credit but my money back.

I hear you and I do understand your frustration. I also have my personal 400gb photo library in the Revel cloud and I'm having to transition away from using Revel.
Currently the Creative Cloud Photography plan doesn't store or back up originals from the desktop, as you mention, but Adobe hopes to implement that in the future.
If you were an annual subscriber through iTunes/App store you can contact Apple for a refund. If you subscribed annually through Adobe your refund is outlined in the email sent you from Adobe Revel.

I purchased directly from Adobe.
Why does not Adobe's contribution automatically?
Why does Adobe first to remit a credit note instead of the amount?
Why does it matter which Adobe Revel Premium customer has where bought?
Why not exisitieren services, for which we have paid as a premium member? Why do I need for services that I paid for, wait? Waits Adobe even if I do not pay a bill? No, Adobe is wahrnen me and then threaten with a lawyer!
If you want to help me transfer my money back - with no effort from me! Adobe has changed the Vertragsbedigungen - not me!
It is a pity that greedy managers want to sell to this aggressive type Adobe cloud. If you do not know. Adobe products are good and must not be sold aggressively. If Adobe further represents this policy, Adobe completed as QuarkXPress.
We as a creative Adobe customers can use other tools. Monopoly is not everything!

Now I have to ask Apple to refund? Adobe made a mistake with his Premium Clients so please organise it directly with the users and later on get your money from the App-store.

Without Revel, Adobe don't do memories.

Apart from everyone's time, commitment to and mostly love for Revel, with it's nice design and simplicity, it has been replaced with a storage option that is sub-standard for my needs.
I myself, use Revel not much for editing but as a Cloud to share with family and friends, much as sold on the website.
Adobe has decided to no longer wants to provide this Cloud storage service and thus tries to push all users down the photo editing route at probably a higher expense.
Even as an Adobe CC user at work.....
I'm Out.
Such a good product with such poor belief in it from Adobe.
Gutted and will miss it and am very, very disappointed in this decision to end a product that my family and I have had many happy memories using.

employee I am also moving to the Creative Cloud Photography Plan
and will have the same usage adjustments as our customers.

You can share collection with others from Lightroom using the web by syncing the collection with Lightroom Mobile (sign into your account and activate the sync icon to the left of the collection name) and turning on the "Make Collection Public" (Right click the collection and select "Lightroom Mobile Links"). After it's synced you can then get a web link (Right clicking the collection again and going to light room mobile links and "copy public URL") that you can share with others and they don't need any Lightroom components.
Hope this helps.

Do you actually use Lightroom or Photoshop? You seem to be working fom a script. As a full creativecloud subscriber, I already have Lightroom, PhotoShop, about 12 other Adobe apps that I use and access to the rest. I do not need or want a photography plan. Nor do I need to download anything. I already have copies both local and cloud.
People want to know what is going on. Many here need a lot more space than seems to be available with the plan you're pushing. They need answers not a telemarketing script.
And, when did Adobe outsource its forums?

I am,a tester in the Adobe Digital Imaging group - thank you for asking. We aren't professional support people and help on the forums so that Adobe employees can answer questions and help customers. Glad you appreciate our being on here.
Adobe has chosen, as announced to close the Revel service. As I have mentioned to others. It's a service that I actually used heavily. So I'm sad to see it go. The Adobe option for replacement of the service is the Lightroom and Lightroom mobile solution. Right now it uses smart previews to accomplish the syncing to mobile. In the future Adobe will have options to store the originals in the Creative Cloud Photography plan in the cloud.
Hope this help

Cannot believe they are forcing users to apply for refunds via Apple. It's nice for them to direct us to Apple, not so nice for us. My agreement is with Adobe, not Apple. I also assume it will be some sort of prorated refund.
I hope enough users provide feedback and Adobe revisits the decision to deprecate the service as of 2/16.
Finally, the implication of future availability of cloud storage "plans" smells like a premium add-on.
Time to jump ship. Never again.

Sorry for the confusion and frustration.
If you purchased your annual subscription through Adobe we have the ability to provide the refund. If you purchased through Apple/iTunes you have to request your refund through them. I wish we didn't have to refer you to Apple, but that's how the Adobe/Apple app store payment policy works.
Again, sorry for the trouble this causes you.

I'm really disappointed in your service.
Please help me resolve this! I think that correct way would be some refund for your users, who choose you to back up and now you are letting us down.

First we had to change from Elements Backup to Revel, which you sold as being the best thing for us users since sliced bread. Now you tell us Creative Cloud is even better and we will love it.
FORGET IT. Adobe seems to have forgotten about keeping existing customers happy and they will pay for it in the long term. I don't see any comments above stating how overjoyed they are about this change and Jason please don't bother wasting your time on a half hearted apology about how sorry you are. My advice to you is find a new job with a company that truly cares about it's customers and product end users. GOODBYE ADOBE. EX CUSTOMER.

MAC users lost iPhoto and Apperture. I thought Adobe Reveal and Lightroom would be a good replacement but now Reveal is going away and Lightroom doesn't offer sharing the same way.
Guess its time to move away from Adobe now.

I purchased my premium plan directly from Adobe. I have half a year left on my current yearly cycle. I want what is left of my plan to be applied to the new plan. How do I do this? Despite what has been stated here on this forum, refund information is NOT in the email that Adobe sent me. I have recommended Adobe Revel to many people over the past few years and now I feel like an idiot. My sister just this past week paid for a yearly premium membership only to be sent an email yesterday announcing it is being dropped. She already has over 15k images and videos uploaded. I have over 100 GB stored myself, and now I will need to download them back to my computer and upload them all again into Lightroom?! Why can't my 6 months remaining Adobe Revel balance be applied towards the new plan, and once payment is received, ADOBE move my images to the new cloud?

I understand and sympathize with your frustration and I'm very sorry for the trouble it's causing you and everyone else.
If you purchased your Revel subscription directly from Adobe, Adobe is automatically refunding your subscription.
If you purchased your Revel subscription from inside the iOS apps you'll need to request a refund from Apple/iTunes as they handle all the accounting for subscriptions from the app.
Hope this helps.

Adobe recommend to download the Revel assets and bring them back to Lightroom.
I have the original RAW/DNG images in Lightroom, which I have converted to JPG and uploaded It into albums in Revel. Bringing these back to Lightroom will creat duplicates in Lightroom. Hence, jpg and DNG files with the same images.
Since the Album names is Revel do not necessarily correspond to the Lightroom Collections, however the image file name less the file extension (.dng, .jpg), is there any way to create the Revel Album names and Collections in LR and bring back the link to the original .dng file rather then import in the .jpg file?
