A "Re-link All Masks" feature should be added to the Layers pallet. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the suggestion. Note, you can do it now using a script posted here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/4628764#4628764

I'm still going to vote for this. As someone who doesn't have a clue about code, all those scripts posted over time as things apparently changed, leaves me feeling rather unprotected taking a chance on something that is now 5-6 years old. I know Paul's name on sight, but that's the only one I do know, and his is from 2012.

So I'm fine with a script if it's included in our Scripts menu and Adobe is keeping it up to date, but otherwise, a command in the Layers panel would be nice so I don't open an older file or send a file to someone without the mask relinked because I didn't do a thorough enough search for it—if I even remembered to search.

Just a nice thing for programmer's to tack onto the list of a few hundred other JDI's<G>

I created plugin which solves this issue and much more: https://youtu.be/QBGty3BMKXs?t=40s

https://pepperbox.bereza.cz/ You can link/unlink/disable/enable/add/remove — bitmap/vector/filter — mask or set feather, density for all selected layers in one click and much more.
