A Lightroom Scripting Language would be great!

Hi-

I absolutely love Lightroom. But one thing I always thought would be cool would be some sort of "scripting" engine or language. I know we have presets for various tasks like Develop settings, exports, etc. But something higher level would be cool- like the ability to select various images, apply a Develop preset, then do one or more exports based on different Export Presets... all of that in one script.

Thanks for a great product!

Lua is Lightroom's scripting language.

I think Lua is a great language, but not all things are supported.

Do report back after you play a while..

That's great but that's not user friendly in any way shape or form for a photographer.

It needs to be set up like Photoshop's Actions... Start it up, give your "script" a name, record, click-click-click what you want done, Stop recording. Done.

Maybe "scripting" is the wrong word.

Gotcha - at a higher level for non-programmers..

Maybe "macro" would be a better term..

Cheers,
Rob
