Lightroom: Problem registering/activating

My worst experience ever with a product bought online : April 13, I bought Photoshop Lightroom 5.7.1, which I thought was the latest version at that time. Was never able to register it online or offline...! Less than 2 weeks later I found out that version 6 was out!... I asked for an unpdate : no success. As if no one was listening somewhere. Than withouth success again, I asked for a refund. Filled formulas and such : nothing! I finally reign myself to buy version 6 (so, in less than 3 weeks, I spent about 360$ for two Lightroom version, 5.7.1 and 6). The first one (5.7.1) I can't still register. The other one (6) is a SIGN IN freak! All I want is a program I can use offline and that does not ask me to Sing in each time I launch it. I don't wan't to be on Cloud or on Adobe's Server : I only want to work alone offline like I do with any other program which does not ask me to sign in all the time. This is mostly annoying. And the customer's service I had for this issue is unacceptable! I'Ve waisted at least tow days in chats or phone communications that ended up nowhere. How should I feel? Is there some one at Adobe who really listen to their customer's issues?

It sounds like you have something on your computer blocking access to Adobe servers so you're unable to register or login.

Hi Daniel,

If you purchased Lightroom 5 within 30 days of the announcement of Lightroom 6, you may qualify for a free update: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/p...

Are you on Mac or Windows?

Hi Jeffrey, I'm on Mac (iMac Yosemite 10.10.3)
And I did purchased LR 5 within the annoncement of 6 I believe....
But the, I bought LR 5.7.1(171$ ca taxes included)
and.....................LR 6 (171$ ca taxes included)

I asked for a refund : ended up nowhere
I asked for an upgrade : ended up nowhere...

Maybe I'm too old to develop photos on a computer...!

Verbal communication in Idia is too complicated because of both my and their accents.

Chatting did not lead me somewhere... So I paid for both versions but I feel reallt ripped off!

OK... and sincere thanks for your concern! All I wanted to start with was to buy standalone Lightroom 6 (not the CC version) at 150$ca+taxes, which I bought or, get an upgrade for it -- for which I believe I was eligible for and did not got, or at least a refund. Not that LR6 does not work, it works perfectly... but I should not have had to buy it «again». If there is something you can do : great! If not, don't waste your time on this issue, help someone else. In either case I repeat that I am sincerely grateful for your concern!
As far as «Signing In» all the time, I did and I continue working with LR6 and I will probably get use to it after a while... The reason I wanted version 6 was mainly because of the addition of brushes in the Filter module and the way it uses memory to work fast.

Have a nice weekend Jeffrey!
