Error message when trying to open a Photoshop layered file.
"Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered."

The files is upwards of 80mgs, full of a bunch of original artwork scans. usually files like this are no problem to open or work with. but this same new problem has happened twice in the last 2 weeks.

i use a Mac OS X 10.5.8, Photoshop version 6 from our purchased 2003 CS full suite.

is this file corrupted? restorable? any questions you have to help solve the problem - shoot them to me! any advice? send it my way!

and thank you. Rebecca Doyle in St. Paul, Mn

It means that the file is corrupt. It could be truncated, or it could just have bad data that makes Photoshop think that the file should be longer.

If you get errors like this repeatedly, it could mean problems with your hard disk.
