Photoshop: "Save" treated like "Save as" on new documents

If I create a New Document and save it as a PSD or any other file format — and keep the file open —, every time I change the document and hit CMD+S, Photoshop will show the Save As dialog, instead of saving the file.

This means the Finder dialog is shown, and it asks for replacing the file.

Even after I do the first save, as long as the file is open, hitting "Save" will display the "Save as" dialog.

If I close the PSD file and open again, this issue is gone.

I can’t reproduce the issue on Photoshop 14.2.1 and Mac OSX 10.8.5.
Are you sure the issue occurs with psd files and not some other format that does not support features like Layers etc.?

It happens with PSD and flattened files (like JPGs): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuf2-...
