Elements: Can the "Places" list be edited?

How can I edit the “Places” list?
I have the same town listed twice, once under United Kingdom/East Sussex then again under United Kingdom/England. Some addresses miss out England, others miss out the town and just have “123 My Road, East Sussex, United Kingdom”.
I would like to edit the list to show Country/County/Town/Number & Street with the option of leaving any of them out or adding something relevant, such a name of a mountain.

Go to places view by selecting Places tab. Select the images from the grid for which you need to edit Places information. Click on "Edit" button in bottom task panel.

Drag all media to the same location if you want them to be placed at one location.

Then you can delete the existing place categories which were incorrect.

Hello Vaishali,

Thanks for the reply, but it does not solve the problem. The “Edit Places” button takes you to the map to drag the photos to the required position. It then gives them an “address”, which is where the problem lays. I’m not sure if this “address” comes from Google as I’ve tried entering some addresses and they come up in a different, but still not logical, format. It is not confined to the UK; French and Irish addresses are not always in a consistent order either.

By right clicking the blue place marker under a picture different parts of the address can be deleted (although not changed or added to) but, unfortunately, this has no effect on the Places list.

What I want to be able to do is to edit the Places List in the same way that Tags can be edited by adding or changing sub-categories.

Regards,

Richard
