It seems Bridge doesn't care to show .mts thumbnails for files larger than 1 Gig...! It already has problems with the playback of all .mts files, but won't show a thumbnail for anything larger than 1 gig!

It is only one of the most common formats. Preview does not play them or show a thumbnail. There is not use for me to use Bridge since 100% of my video is AVCHD. I just use the browser in Premiere Pro...no thumbs there either...nice.

Could Adobe please update Bridge so that it can view MTS file thumbnails and play MTS files. This is a very common file format.

Hi Jeffrey, any information on if or when Bridge may be improved to work with MTS files?

I am trying to determine whether I should keep the product or return it for a refund.

Thanks.

I am considering switching from FCP to Premiere Pro. However, all my cameras are AVCHD and produce MTS files. MTS works fine in Premiere Pro but not in Bridge (CS5.1). I desperately need thumbnail support somewhere .. either in Premiere Pro or in Bridge because I hate taking the time to convert all my clips to MOV. Please help!

Hi Catherine, Thanks for the request. I've asked someone from the Premiere Pro team to contact you directly since that team isn't active on this forum. The Bridge team is aware of this request.

Will you ask that someone to respond to this forum so that we can all know if there is any hope that Bridge will be enhanced to view MTS files in the near future? The Premiere Pro suite is practically useless to people whose cameras save in MTS format.

The Media Browser in Premiere Pro can only show thumbnail images for certain media types. If the media that you're using doesn't have thumbnail images in the Media Browser, and this is important to you, please submit a feature request to the Premiere Pro development team:

It would be fine to get a preview for *.MTS files in Abobe Bridge! I think it is a very common format and I am surprised that it is obviously not possible until now.

I am also very frustrated that Bridge does not play MTS files! I just upgraded to a new camera that records to MTS, and I can no longer use Bridge as part of my workflow. PLEASE add support to Bridge for this very common video format!

Fix "Bridge" so it handles Sony AVCHD files. Many users have been asking for this for a long time and it seems to be a very reasonable expectation for a profession product from a professional company like Adobe. I have the problem when trying to use "Bridge" with "Premire Pro" as do others.
