Aguardo retorno. Obrigado.

Translated from Portuguese:
I installed Lightroom on an iMac and always appears an error message saying "Error while attempting to change modules." Have uninstalled and reinstalled already updated the latest version, but the error remains. I look back. Thank you.

Try this:

1. Quit Lightroom.
2. Throw out the Lightroom preference files (like in the picture).
3. Start Lightroom again.

English-Portuguese translation done by computer, sorry if it's not very good. :-)

-Ben

Tente isto:

1. Quit Lightroom.

Hi Luiz,

I don't think these instructions will translate well, so I'm leaving them in English, I hope that they make sense to you (or you can find someone to translate). If you can perform the steps below, this will give us some information that might enable us to solve the problem.

------------------------

1. Quit Lightroom.
2. In Finder, navigate to the Utilities subfolder of the Applications folder (Command + Shift + U).
3. Double Click Terminal.app
4. Paste the following text: '/Applications/Adobe Lightroom 3.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Lightroom 3' -tracebacks
5. Press enter and Lightroom will start.
6. Repeat the steps in Lightroom that cause the error message that you are seeing.
7. This will cause a lot of text and messages to appear in the Terminal.app window. Copy all the text from the Terminal.app window, and paste it into a reply here.

Thanks,
Ben

Has Lightroom been installed on this computer before? If not, try a different Mac user account. If it works in another account, we just copy the files. I've seen some installation permissions problems cause this.

(Thanks Google!)

This has been resolved in Lightroom 4.4 RC, now available at labs.adobe.com.

Note, this is a public RC, which means the build has been well tested, but is not final release quality yet.

I understand very little Portuguese, but that error message sounds like Lightroom doesn't have permission to create files in the specified location, so try the instructions in this tech note: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/...
