I get an error messaage "an unexpected end-of-file occurred" about every 2nd. or 3rd. RAW file. The camera I use is a NIKON D-700; this problem just started. Any ideas on what's going on?

Which Adobe product are you using?

Which version?

Which OS?

What changed on your system since it was last working?

Adobe Lightroom 3.6 & Raw 6.6 with Windows XP; nothing changed that I know of.

If nothing changed, then you might want to look for problems with your hard disk.

If Lightroom can read most of the files, and only some fail - then there is something different about those files. It is likely that you have disk damage, or some software on your system interefering (possibly malware).

I have updated and ran two different Virus and Malware programs; everything is OK. After reviewing everything I could think of, I remembered that about three weeks ago I put a new compact flash card in my D-700; tomorrow I will change it out and see if the problem continues.
