Photoshop: "Abacus" HUD color picker

I came up with an idea for an improvement to the HUD color picker.

It's a 1-click color selector for hue, saturation, and brightness.

The idea was too complicated to describe in text, so I made a SFW file.

It'd be a big improvement for me over both the Hue Wheel, and the Hue Strip. I usually want to adjust the hue slightly rather than just modifying the brightness and saturation. The existing HUD color picker options make that part difficult (even with the space bar trick)

Please consider implementing this alternate HUD color picker for CS6.

For painting, as a general rule, you want "cool" shadows, and "warm" highlights. This color picker makes finding those hue/brightness/saturation combinations much much easier.

Thanks for your consideration!

Not to shamelessly bump my post, but I'm shamelessly bumping my post.

I think this would be a huge improvement to the existing HUD color picker options.

There is no point to "bumping" posts here. It's not a BBS.

Well, at least I got you to take another look at it.

As a digital painter, this would be a huge help to me.

Thanks-Rory-

Did you not like it? I thought that was a pretty darn good idea.
