9.1 Photo Number Bug

There are 395839 photos in my Lightroom Catalog. When I look at All Photographers, the number next to it shows 400127 photos since the 9.1 update today.

When I look at the bottom of the screen, it only says I have those 395839 shots, yet it claims there are even more that are not selected. If I select all yearly folders I get the same 395839 number. So, where do the 4288 extra photos come from?

Do you have any photos in Collapsed Stacks?

Go to All Photos:
Select All
Right Click and select Stacking>Expand All Stacks
Select All again
Do the counts match now?

That fixed it! Very weird that the 'official number' of photos in previous versions of LR showed the collapsed number of photos, while now it shows all.

Thanks!

I have LR 8.4.1. It works as Rikk described. I don't think there's been any change in behaviour with LR 9.x: the All Photographs total was always the full total (whether in collapsed stack or not), while the count displayed above the filmstrip would depend on whether any collapsed stacks are in the displayed view...
