3D left/right MPO & JPS files are distored in CS6 'side by side' mode.

My bug in Photoshop CS6 is that it's impossible to open and then save a JPS or MPO in stereo format correctly. I was attempting to use CS6 for some 3D images and when opening a side by side left/right JPS or MPO file it automatically goes into anaglyph mode. That would be fine, except when I switch back to side by side mode it resamples the images and rescales them to fit the canvas size of the anaglyph. The result is a that the images are no longer aligned for stereo and have been squished out of proper proportions. It is comparable to a side by side (half) which is used for video but there also needs to be a side by side (full).

The fix would be to make the side by side function act properly so that the images would be 'side by side' FULL without changing the ratio but instead doubling the canvas to accommodate both images. This would give me at least a way to open and crop images (in anaglyph, and to make global adjustments as well. Fortunately, I have found that if you have properly aligned images in Left/Right next to each other on the same canvas then CS6 does save a properly aligned image for stereo viewing so this fix would be effective.

The current side by side setting would be named side by side HALF since it halves the width of the images.

I have the same issue with my pics from Fuji W3 being squashed in side by side, so I can't save them properly..., it's very disappointing... Totally agree with you they should fix this!

As of now, I'm using photoshop for 2D editing (like removing lens flare or unwanted spots on each frame), and for parallax editing or cropping etc I use Stereo Photo maker (it's actually not bad and is quite convenient for depth & parallax adjusting).
