I am using an apple MacBook Pro updated to 10.9 with the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB graphics chip. Now your 3D graphics will not run.

I have plenty of memory it is just the chip that is the problem. I cannot up grade the chip or its software. And what is more no one in my photography club over 50 people have a chip in their computer that will run the new 3D graphics either.

Is it not possible to load a version of just the 3D graphics that will run on older chips you could even label them 3D New and 3D Old. It could give us a warning every time we opened our computer is too old to run the latest graphics it could even direct us to the apple store to buy a new computer (apple will be pleased).

Now we have cloud is seems a shame to to use it for something like this that I am sure would benefit so many people. As there are plenty of older photographers and hobby Photographers out there who cannot easily afford to buy a new computer every couple of years.

And I am sure it will encourage people to upgrade their computers when they start to see new things appearing that they cannot use because their computer is too old. As you could always use this for other functions later on.

No, you need 512 Meg of VRAM to use the 3D tools.
With less, the GL drivers tend to crash.
