My Lr 3.4 catalog is corrupt. Lr won't repair it and the most recent useful backup can not be opened either. If this can not be fixed, I loose so much work! Please help.

I can take a look at that if you'd like (people with corrupt catalogs tend to find me eventually): http://forums.adobe.com/message/1936201

I'd also be curious if there were any odd events prior to the catalog becoming corrupt that might explain it. I've seen very few 3.x corrupt catalogs, but want to be on the look out if anything new creeps in to cause them

Thanks!

I had the same problem with Lightroom 3.4. I opened a thread to ask you help Dan.
Of course something happened, an external HD was accidentaly removed from the PC and I was workin on it.
I've already sent you an email with my catalog, I really hope you'll be so kind to help me out!
Thank you!

After my Lightroom 3 (Win 7 64bit) crashed, my catalog was carrupted.
I read everywhere that is possible to repair it, or at least to try.
I tried a couple of procedure I found online but they didn't work, anyway those explanations were all a little bit confused.
I know Dan is able to repair a lot of catalogs, I'm wondering if someone (or Dan himself) could help me out with this.
I'm sorry for my english,
Thanks,
Stefano

What is the problem with Lightroom 3??????? I have never seen photo software so easily crashed. Is Adobe for real? They should provide a fix other than the useless "catalog repair" or refund my money.

Steve, can you be more specific what your problem is? Do you have a corrupt catalog? Or is it that Lightroom is crashing?

My Lightroom catalogue is corrupt. I have talked with two people in India. I had a hard time understanding them. They have only made matters worse, including deleting one folder of images and one other image. I get the feeling they are in over their heads. The one I talked with most recently is going to call me back on Monday night, but I don"t want him to do anything more, he"s already done enough damage. Can you PLEASE help me?

Paul,

I have a similar issue that tech support could not help me with. I have years of work into my library. If you have the time to help it would be much appreciated.
