The new Adobe Bridge is slow, buggy, unresponsive at times, and, oh yea, annoying. It’s pretty, but not functional. I used to happily incorporate Bridge into my workflow, but this new update is annoying and slows me down. There are a host of issues with it.
For one, the crop tool doesn’t work properly. It lags and doesn’t even let me see the adjustments that I’m making. I have to click on another tool for the “crop” to take effect. Then I have to go back in and guess if I’m moving it correctly to get the crop that I need. It’s frustrating. And, God, please don’t let me press enter! When I press enter, the next thing you know Photoshop is opening. Photoshop just keeps opening. Annoying.
Another issue is the geometry tool. When I’m using the guided lines to straighten the perspective, the lines go off the page and take the whole screen with it, leaving me looking at the black artboard. This makes it difficult to apply the required adjustments. Annoying.
I also hate that the scroll bar starts at the bottom of all the tools. What was the thought process there? I like to start my edits with the exposure, not the calibration. I always have to scroll back to the top. It just adds another step and slows down my process. Very annoying. I actually miss the previous orientation that required little to no scrolling. I also don’t like that everything is nested, requiring so many clicks to access the tools that I need. The vertical toolbar is pretty, but not functional. The horizontal toolbar made more sense.
This new update has been a pain to use. Please fix it.
