This just started happening to me and my Mac Pro after updating to the newest version of Photoshop...nothing on-line fixes the problem. Photoshop just won't recognize .jpgs anymore???

What is the exact error you're getting? Are you on Mac or Windows?

It's not an error code or anything.  Says, "Could not complete the request because the file was not found."  If I open it up in Preview and save it as a PDF, photoshop will then recognize it.  But what a pain when you're dealing with many many photos a day.

Where are you trying to open from? The Start Screen Recent Files? The Finder? Bridge?  Which version of Mac OS?

Trying to open it in Photoshop 2018 on a Mac Pro running 10.12.6.  I'm in a Photoshop project...I go to file...I hit open...I find a jpg and click on it....like i've done since 2003.

Hmm. I would suspect a system specific issue. If all customers weren't able to open JPEGs, there would be a forest fire of complaints.

Have you tried resetting Photoshop's preferences?

You'd think.  I've seen other chats about this but usually on a previous version.  Never happened to me before.

Has anyone found a fix for this?  I'm in the same boat..and if this was happening 3 months ago-you would think they would have fixed it. Especially since we are paying a monthly fee to use something...that we can't use

Do you have two monitors in your set up? have you tried disabling the preference for "Use Graphics Processor"?
