Photoshop CC 2015.5.1: Select and Mask refine still creating hard edges

The new 2015.5.1 release supposedly resolves the following issue:

  • Select and Mask: Using the Refine edge brush on one area of a pre-existing selection may cause certain hard edges in another area to change a few pixel values, especially when the image is in very high resolution
This issue however, is not resolved, and is a major disruption to workflow and quality of work.

Hey Grant,
This was killing my workflow too, so I reinstalled 2015, and run the apps in tandem. I mask in 2015, close, and then open in 2015.5. The icons are slightly different in the dock, and I keep the two interfaces and workspaces slightly different as well, so I know where I am. It's a bit of a clumsy workaround, but it will help workflow, until Adobe get their s*** together.

I am having this same problem as is my studio partner. I am reinstalling a previous version and hopefully Adobe will address this broken feature.

the whole new masking tool is broken.

at work we use CC2015 or topaz remask on the systems we have updated to CC2017.

the worst is you get NO SUPPORT at all from adobe.
