I installed the most recent update( 2015-12-14) to my Photoshop Elements 14. It now locks up( not responds) after a doing a few things while editing in Expert Mode. I believe the update version is Photoshop Elements 14.1

I updated my PSE14 to 14.1 about an hour ago and have notice that it crashes also. Whenever I try to add a new layer and then copy something into that layer, windows says Photoshop Elements is not responding.

I am wondering is there any way to undo the upgrade. If you try to do a reinstall you have to be careful because Adobe tracks installs. I should remember to never install an upgrade the first week it comes out. You need to check the user-groups and see what problems might occur.

Hi ,

Go to C:\Users\[usename]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\14.0
Rename the folder "Editor" present here to "Editor_old"
Then relaunch the application.

Thanks,

This did restart the Application and reset all my custom settings to default... Now I will have to spend time resetting the UI, Preferences, Custom Document Sizes, and Tools. Hope it solves the problem. Also I hope futures"UpGrades" don't require a complete reset to "out of the box" configuration. Seems to me the folks at Adobe are more talented then that....

Thanks again for the suggestion..
