Lightroom 2015.10: D and G keys, exposure slider drops the image to black, until mouse button is released

Since updating to 2015.10 I've found LR to be quite glitchy. Some problems that occur are:
*D and G keys, used to switched between Develop and Library become unresponsive.
*The exposure slider drops the image to black, until mouse button is released
*Clicking my desktop icon asks me which catalog i want to open, instead of opening the last one
*Slow, unresponsive at times.
*Opening raw files from LR to Photoshop prompts a 'requires ACR update', (it's updated).

Windows 10, i7 4770K, GTX 1070, 32GB ram, SSD for OS, SSD for catalogs, Logitech MX Master Mouse and Logitech wireless keyboard.

Starting with latest version I sometimes move a slider in D mode and nothing happens. Does seem slower in Dmode too. I miss version 5.7.

All of the issues except the last one "Opening raw files from LR to Photoshop prompts a 'requires ACR update', (it's updated)." which is a known issue, (see: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lightroom-edit-in-photoshop-warning-message-s...)  look like a bad preference file.

to reset:
  1. Close Lightroom.
  2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
  3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
  4. Close Lightroom.
  5. Restart Lightroom.
Let us know what issues remain.
