if I've got a few documents open, I'd like to be able to save all (to their respective locations) with one menu item (and a subsequent keyboard shortcut)

Do you want to leave the documents open after they are saved? Or want to save & close them?

Great idea. Personally close the document(s) after save. Would be great if "Save As" could be treated the same. Especially TIFF files and allow the TIFF dialog box to confirm the type of TIFF for the first file being saved with that setting being applied to all open files.

There is already a "close all" command, and when you use it any modified documents will prompt you to save them.

Chris Maybe I did not phrase this correctly and maybe the command I was looking for would be "Save All" with a "Close All Option". Let me give an example. I use a 7 bracket sequence for HDR processing for Real Estate Interiors. I select the RAW images in Bridge, set the White Balance and then Open the images in Photoshop. I now need so save the files as TIFF files. So currently Save As - TIFF, dialog box pops up to set the type of TIFF to save, Save and move onto the next. Have to do this 6 more times. What would be great would be to "Save All" set the TIFF type "Once" and all Open files are saved as TIFF's.

Maybe I could write a script or Action but not very clever at doing this sort of stuff.

All the best to you for a great Thanksgiving and hope you do not spend all your time helping others on these forums :)

The "close all" command in PSE18 crashes on the second photo when saving. I just talked to tech support and they told me it is a known bug but they would not be fixing it unless there was enough community support. It worked in PSE13, but not 18.

Jeffrey, I'd like to see the Save All function as well. I often take photos in portrait mode then want to stitch them together in a panorama. The camera natively saves them in landscape mode, so when I open them Photoshop rotates the photos to portrait mode but won't allow the panorama stitching until they are all saved again. So I either have to save all one at a time or close them out, then rotate them en masse in Windows Explorer, open them again in Photoshop then stitch. So I'd like to see a Save All that leaves the documents open. I can also so the value in a Save and Close All feature as well, but for different reasons.
