“Real” Photoshop, but no Channels?... what?

Adobe states this first release is for people to “create composites” and “focuses on compositing features and workflows”, but where are Channels? No true professional compositor works without using Channels. This is not Photoshop. It’s just another Adobe app for iPad that is a toy and not a professional tool. Please put Channels on high priority.

It's amazing when you realize the number of missing features.

It took 25 years for Photoshop to get where it is today. Photoshop for iPad isn’t even 25 weeks on the market. Yes, there are a lot of features still missing, and Adobe could have and should have better communicated this. But it is not very realistic to expect a full version of Photoshop for iPad in such a short time.

I agree that Adobe’s communication is a big problem. They promised a full version of Photoshop. From when it was announced, it took a year for Photoshop for iPad to be released. Affinity Photo is similar to Photoshop and only a few years old...and they have a full version iPad app. So, that makes it seem doable. I realize Photoshop is a huge program with many features. I don’t think people are upset not every feature made it to the iPad version. I think people are frustrated that even basic features are not there. Definitely hoping for a swift update schedule.

this is the closest topic I can find for my issue.  If photoshop for iPad has no channels why won’t it let me select or change layers with a pop up that says that I can’t do that because the channel is hidden.
