Here's a suggestion for an improvement for most of your products. In the FILE menu, you can select FILE > OPEN RECENT. There should also be an option to select FILE > OPEN RECENT FILE FOLDER. This would open up the folder of the file that you last had open when selected from the OPEN RECENT FILE command.

This would go on a line just below OPEN RECENT. Many times, after I open a file, I want to go to a file in the same folder. But if I've just opened a file using OPEN RECENT, using the plain FILE > OPEN... command doesn't take me to the folder from which the OPEN RECENT file was opened. Frustrating, right?

So, if you had a FILE >OPEN RECENT FOLDER option, you could go to the same folder from which you just opened the recently opened file.

If you right click or cmd click on the tab for the file you just opened, you can select Reveal in Finder to take you to its folder. Not exactly what you want but might help.
