"Open File" shows all filetypes regardless of which type is enabled.

Hi there. On the mac OS when I open a file from within Photoshop and choose to enable only certain filetypes the other filetypes do not disappear, they merely get greyed out. This is hardly any better than simply enabling all file types as you still have to see them and scroll through them all. Why can't photoshop/mac just hide the files completely?

That is just the behavior of the MacOS open dialog.
Applications don't have a lot of control over the OS open (or save) dialog.

Fascinating... are you 100% sure? I can't find any other Mac programs that offer the "enable" feature. I guess I'll dig a bit more...
