This has happened before (See conversation on ACR forum)
<https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1978048>

HOWEVER yesterday I stitched 3 5DsR raw images successfully (24mm TSE  lens) I do this many times each day.
After the first one ACR will not stitch any more...
"Merged Result Exceeds Maximum Size"
The only change I made before this was to change the stitching projection
I have restarted
Gone to a different job in another folder.
Turned off (and back on) graphics processor
I'm at my wits end!

Mac OSX 10.12.6 32Gb Ram

Any help gratefully accepted

Have you reset your Camera Raw preference file?

Here is a video tutorial on how. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y7AzupMPl0

Do you still receive the error message afterwards?

Thanks for that Rikk!

Many thanks

I have found a solution!
I went back to yesterday's job where the 3 raw images stitched perfectly, and re-stitched them. When offered the projection dialog box, I selected "perspective" and re-stitched the images (successfully)
Then I went to todays job and selected two raw images for stitching, and the dialog now showed "perspective" selected and the images have stitched forming a .dng file as normal.
This is defiantly a bug of some sort!
