Love the new object selection tool but I always wished there is a lasso deselection. Sometimes i need to deselect small parts and the quick selection tool clears my whole selection

Hold down alt/option and use the lasso to remove selection. You can also press Q for quick mask to paint selection on and off with the brush tool.

try holding alt, also with the quick selection tool, to deselect parts of existing selection

Every selection tool has several options: new selection, add to the selection, subtract from the selection and intersect both selections. You can use modifier keys to toggle that, as explained above, or you can permanently switch to a different option by clicking on the icon in the tool bar.

Omg thank you I've used photoshop for years now and i never new about the alt and lasso. I do the masks but no idea how i missed the alt . Thanks again
