Photoshop: "Forever" should be the default looping option when making a gif instead of "once".

The vast majority of GIFs loop forever.
I personally have never made a gif that doesn't loop forever.
Please can the default be changed from "once" to "forever" ?

This is also particularly annoying because when you change the size of the gif, the looping option automatically changes back to the default... "once".

PLEASE. PLEASE change this. PLEASE.

Thanks
Ross

now it is! I haven't noticed it's mentioned anywhere in the new features for 19.1.0 but now GIF defaults to "forever"

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Save to .gif default should be changed to "forever".

When has anyone ever wanted a .gif that plays back only once?! The whole point of gifs, in today's sharable world, is that they are looping animated snippets.

It wouldn't be such an issue if you didnt have to wait for the entire gif to "load" before you could change the option, but as it is now, its a huge time sink if you need to make a handful of gifs at a time, as many people do.

Cameron, in the latest update of 19.1.0 the GIF loop options defaults to "forever" and remembers your settings. if you set it to "once" it will keep "once" to the next export for that document. if you set it to "forever" it will remember "forever" for the next export for that document. any new documents defaults to "forever"

now it is forever. let's hope it lasts forever too.
