This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Lightroom mobile: I would like to synchronize over LAN instead of internet

I'd like to see adobe add the ability to view and edit photos across connected platforms either via Wifi or Bluetooth

Most professional photographers or travelers don't have access to the internet (or it's very slow) while traveling so editing locally would be much better.

I'd prefer Lightroom to be able to connect and see photos locally so we can start an edit on Mobile and continue on PC without needing an internet connection.

To be clear adobe (agents) we don't want a Lightroom cc Plan because we don't have interent connections.

Look forward from hearing from other users and also Adobe.

To add to this feature request, on either platforms there would be a folder called 'Virtual folder' so that Lightroom knows which folder structure is viewable and editable across locally connected platforms.

A lot of people have requested WiFi sync, but to ask for it without a subscription is not realistic. Lightroom CC for Mobile is free, so you have to pay for it in some other way. Besides, without a subscription you also don't have Lightroom Classic or Lightroom CC for desktop, so what would you use to 'continue on the PC'?

Hi Johan, we're all paying to use Adobe products at some level, monthly subscription or yearly fee, Lightroom/Photoshop will never be free and we're all happy with that.
Adobe is continuously getting money from it's users so adding a syncing option locally isn't going to break their bank.

I don't mind that Lightroom cc business model is about having Cloud Storage for our photos and people are happy to use that service but it's a massive option missing being able to sync and edit locally.

OK. We agree that an option to sync over WiFi is needed, but that makes the title of your request a little off base. This is not about 'without subscription', because a subscription is needed to use Lightroom Classic to work locally on your PC. What you mean is 'without the need to store the images online', which is not the same.

Yes I agree, the title is misleading with the word ‘Subscription’
If it’s possible to change the title I shall do it.
Really the ‘Without subscription’ is for the Agents of Adobe to understand that we don’t want to sign up to another plan just to sync photos.

There is only one plan. It includes 20 GB of storage space to sync photos. You can buy more space if you want to, but there is no plan without any sync/any online space at all.
