"Enhancement Zones": In camera raw, having the ability to divide a photo into "zones" (ie sky, foreground, landscape) using a selection tool similar to Quick Selection and individually modify curves / contrast. The benefit to having these zones which photoshop would manage is that the halo effect does not occur as you darken one zone (ie sky) because photoshop would identify the edges and differences in exposure / curves and automatically adjust the edge to appear properly. This would enable "HDR"-like effects with great manual and nondestructive control, and be far faster than currently possible in photoshop. Example: Darken the sky to enhance cloud contrast and color, while brightening the subject, and not affecting the landscape behind. All done by using quick selection tool to divide the photo into 3 zones, then using camera raw sliders for changing exposure / contrast for each zone.
