1. Take portrait pictures on iPhone XS.
2. Export the original pictures (HEIC files) from iPhone to a folder.
3. Export portrait pictures based on the same pictures (JPEG files) from iPhone to the same folder (use drag&drop this time).
4. Import pictures into Lightroom.

Should Be: The original and the portrait pictures must be imported.

Actual Result: Only the original pictures will be imported. The portrait pictures are even not visible on import dialog. If you move them to another folder, then it works fine.

Hi Dmitry,
By default Lightroom Classic does not import the JPG sidecar file, and the same behaviour exists with other formats as well.
However, this behaviour can be changed by toggling the following setting in Lightroom preferences:

After enabling this setting, the JPG images should be detected and imported by Lightroom. Try out changing this setting and let us know if you still observe any issues.
