When I use the copy to in lightroom CC (I have changed to the online CC 1TB) and make a copy of a photo on a iPad then when I make an edit on the copied photo it also makes the edit on the original. Crop is what I am trying to have different copies of

This works fine in CC on my mac by right clicking and using Make a Copy

Can this be fixed please

Make A Copy and Copy To are different actions.

Make A Copy is available on Desktop only. It makes a physical copy in the Cloud.

Copy To is available on Desktop and Mobile. As well as leaving in its current location it will ‘make an alias’ in the location you choose. There still will be only one file in the Cloud.

I'm still finding the various different copy to, make copy, move to etc as well as which is the 'copy' and the differences with all theses between the desktop and mobile confusing.

Can't find 'Copy to' on the desktop as Selondon suggests.

There have been several mentions both here, in Adobe's marketing and podcasts that a significant aim of LRCC is that the experience is the same across all platforms. This is far from true and I end up jumping between platforms to do different things.

I know it's still early days but before Adobe gets too far in to adding new functionality, getting the UI experience across platforms would be so helpful.

Yes, sorry Simon I was mistaken about Copy To on the Desktop. I may have been thinking about Lr Web where a similar function is possible.

Agree with you regarding the consistency between platforms.
