Lightroom CC 2015.6.1: Keywords are not the same between Lightroom and Smugmug

After taking the time to keyword all of my photos in their folders. I export the galleries to SmugMug. When I go to view the images on the web all of the keywords have changed and the suffix '2C' has been added. (example: Lauren is now Lauren2C) 

This causes me to have to go into SumgMug and re-keyword hundreds of pictures.

This is disconcerting...I've  been thinking of using SM ! Think I'll wait a bit and see what this thread produces before doing so...maybe SmugMug will see it and wonder if they may lose LOTS of LR current and potential clients?

Have you tried asking SmugMug why their plug-in isn't working properly?

Old issue that was supposedly fixed in version 3.0.7.0 of the plug-in.

Perhaps it really wasn't fixed or was somehow reintroduced?  Either way, I'd think you'd need to talk to the folks at SmugMug.

First determine which version of the plugin you have installed.  Go to File > Plug-in Manager, select the Smugmug plugin, and scroll the right panel down to Status.  If the version is earlier than 3.0.9, upgrade to the most recent release: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/121321-how-do-i-install-or-update-the-lightroom-plu...

If the problem still persists, you have two options:

1. Contact Smugmug support (it's their plugin, not Adobe's).

2. Use the Friedl plugin (see a previous post for the link).  Friedl's plugins have an excellent reputation and are typically more robust, better maintains, and have more features (though they can be harder to set up).
