If you record an action and set advanced blending options on a group (in this case i set it to "knockout"), when you play back the action that step fails saying "The command 'Set' is not currently available.".
The action seems to always expect a layer and not a group. :(

(Tested in both CS6 and CC).

I can reproduce this in Photoshop CC 2015. Yes, it seems to be confused and trying to find a layer and failing to apply to the targeted layer group. Plus it's recording a scale factor that doesn't seem to apply to anything.

OK, we'll take a look.

Hi, any news on this bug ? it's rather annoying !... I need to develop a whole set of actions with "Blend If options" for a layer group and in CC2015.5 it is still not working. It givesĀ "The command 'Set' is not currently available" error.
Would you please look into that ? It's been around for a long time :(
