I downloaded Lightroom 30 day FREE trial on 11/11/2014 at 7;15pm. Yet when I opened the trial Lightroom program today, it stated I only have 5 days left. Where did the rest of the days go????

Hi AM,

Did you download Lightroom through the Creative Cloud app? Did you start a Photoshop CC (or another CC product) trial prior starting the Lightroom trial?

Hi Jeffery
I just noticed the comment section below your reply. I answered your comment as part of the thread.
Thanks for answering & I did download from Lightroom website & attached a photo of the download.
I also just downloaded the updated version within the last 24-48 hours.
Still stumped.
:(

I too downloaded a free trial of LR cc to my computer and found i had a 7 day trial but then I activated LR mobile on my phone and iPad it said I had a 30 day trial!

Adobe certainly can change the length of their free trials at will.  They are after all FREE! But when it is done inconsistently it just antagonizes their potential customers.

There is a 7 day trial of the Lightroom software for the desktop, but the mobile devices are currently offering 30 trials for access to photo syncing features.  This 30 day trial doesn't start until access is started -- it's really a separate trial.  Is there a way that we could be clearer about this in order to avoid confusion?

Hi Jeffrey,
I downloaded it from the website as you can see in my photo of downloads.
I don't know what the Photoshop CC / CC product is to be truthful.

Just go to Help menu > System Info and check that it's definitely 5.7 you're running?

The reason I'm checking is that Lightroom 5.7 wasn't released until the 18th November. 11th November is the date the file was created at Adobe.

Great, run the latest update - that 5_7 DMG in your downloads folder. It doesn't install automatically. And last time I checked, the new release resets the trial counter.

Jeffery, I am still curious as to why the original trial period was so drastically shortened & don' t want it to happen again. :(

Happy Thanksgiving & TY for answering my queries so quickly!!!

My only guess was that you downloaded the CC trial. The version you installed is for the perpetual trial which reset the count.

You're welcome!

If it was 5.5 you were running, you probably installed longer ago than you remembered. There's been a 5.6 in between.

No, that's the date modified, not the date downloaded. If you downloaded the same file again now, it'd still say 11/11 (I know that because I downloaded it to check before I posted my idea earlier)
