xyz.jpg already exists, do you want to replace it?

Trying to save over an existing jpg image.

Usually I simply say "replace" and it overrides the previous jpg.  Now it is letting me believe that all is good, HOWEVER it is creating a new file called xyzcopy.jpg

Please give full details when you post a complaint. I know you brought this up in the user-to-user forums, where other people said they did not have this problem on their systems. That is because this seems to be a specific problem of running Photoshop on MacOS Catalina.

Has anyone found a fix for this?
