Welcome to the feedback site for the Photoshop Family of digital imaging products.

We hope that this site will be a useful resource for learning about our products and influencing our product development teams with ideas and requests.

We're interested in what changes you would like see in our products. Do you have an idea for a feature that would help your workflow? Is there a small change that could be made to make your life a little easier? Let us know!

What can I expect from this site?

While we'd like to acknowledge and comment on every idea, question or problem that comes in, it's not something that we have the time or man-power to accomplish. We will read every post and use the information and rankings you provide to help inform the future of our products.

This feedback site in not an official support channel. We welcome you to use this site to post questions in search of answers - and hopefully - more often than not, your questions will be answered by either someone from the user community or someone from one of the product teams.

If you require one-on-one assistance or prefer to contact Adobe Customer Care directly, please visit the support contact page.

Will this feedback site replace the current user to user forums?

There are no plans at this time to replace the current user to user forums except for the forums covering Feature Requests. As of May 17th, 2011, the feature request forums on the user to user forums have been archived and a message has been posted directing users to submit their requests here on this feedback site. The main impetus of this site is to allow users to submit ideas and rank them - something our current forums aren't especially tuned to. If you like what you see here and prefer it to the user to user forums, let us know.

Will this feedback site replace feature request and bug reporting form?

Yes. As of May 17th, 2011, all digital imaging products will use this site as the place to submit feature requests and report problems.

The advantage of using the feedback site over the form is that customers will have better insight on what requests have been made and will have the opportunity to help rate and rank those requests for future consideration.

Is this where we have to report bugs now? No form? No listing of OS version, processor, video card, PS version? No expected results vs actual results, etc? Just this comment box?
Do I need to choose an emoticon "How does this make you feel?" when reporting a bug?

Consider giving this new way of reporting bugs a chance: You can search for bugs before reporting and just tick the '+1' button instead of re-reporting, and your bug has visibility - they get acknowledged by Adobe and status is updated. Its the solution to the "black hole" of yesterday's bug reports.

I'm sure Adobe appreciates all pertinent information you can provide (as well as fellow forumers). Emoticons are optional ;-}

PS - I'm Nobody, Not especially Adobe.

PPS - I *thought* Adobe was going to have a "How to submit a bug report" post for reference, but not sure anymore.

One concern now, since you have parallel “official” Adobe Photoshop forums, is that users with Photoshop questions/problems face diluted resources when they post only at one “official” Adobe Photoshop site, but not the other “official” Adobe Photoshop forum.
If you do end up migrating all Photoshop Family fora from adobe.com to here, it would be a real mess to have Windows, Mac, Photoshop, Lightroom, Elements all post in one general “ask a question” venue.

This one basically just replaces the bug report/feature request form, so general chit chat can stay on the main user to user forums.

If at some point we decide to replace the current U2U forums, we could move to separate "Communities" for each product, or conversely, work with the GetSatisfaction folks to allow better delineation between products within a single community.

i can't stand that this site never remembers my adobe login. never a problem on the U2U sites. i think there needs to be separation by platform as mac and windows users frequently have different issues.

Ouch! This software would be worse than the Jive stuff for normal forum use, so I certainly hope that doesn't happen anytime soon. :-S

While I'm not arguing that this site is perfect - and we can make changes to improve those issues - personally, I prefer this to the U2U any day for several reasons:

1. Search actually works
2. Moderators can merge topics so there aren't 500 threads about the same topic - issues can be answered once - and top issues/requests topics gain relevancy.
3. Moderators can modify titles so they actually make sense for users who read them. (no more "HELP!!!!!! Need project done today!" threads)

Underneath the hood, we're attaching metadata to link topics to our bug and feature database - so that means the feedback is more effective at reaching our engineering group. Ultimately, that's what everyone wants.

@edward - there are also drawbacks to having separate Windows and Mac forums. The products are more alike than different on separate platforms. You end up obfuscating relevant answers from half the audience when you silo by platform.

Agreed, it's ideal for this purpose - I just can't see it being used as a normal user to user forum. It's a real pain to find new replies on threads, and there aren't any workaround like email or NNTP access to work around that issue. I spend far longer trying to read the threads here than I do on something like vBulletin software. For bug reports and feature requests, the backend definitely takes priority, but I'm not so sure the same applies for U2U.

like victoria i find the threaded view difficult also. i think its easier to go to the last post in a topic than have to search through threads in a topic to find replies. i prefer the quote/reply system but i guess this is how its going to be.

Threaded's fine by me if there was a way of unread messages being highlighted in another colour. Personally I always switch to a flat view when I do have an option though. It's the remembering which bits you've read that I find a problem here!

The site is organized by product and which helps to avoid the "real mess" you refer to. To see the product categories go here:

If you click on the "Community" link at the top the products will be listed down the page on the right.

Or click on the arrow next to the "Community" link to see more about how this place is organized.

But... I don't see how that helps. To me it looks like all apps get lumped into "Questions" that are organized by Recent, Needs Answered etc. And it looks like the "Questions" category has content overlap with the "Problems" category. To me it seems confusing both where to post and where to look to contribute.
Let's say I want to contribute by addressing questions/problems users have using Photoshop on the Mac platform. What page do I go to?

i received a response from Jeff through email and when i went to reply it directed me to the beginning of this topic?
doesnt really make sense to me.
about mac/windows separation - can we tag the topic we start as mac or windows users so we can filter if we feel like it? in CS5 there was/is a bad brush lag problem that seemed to only effect some mac users due to mac video card drivers. i think filtering/separation is useful there.

When will Adobe update Photoshop elements to 32 bit colorspacing so Nik HDR Efex pro plugin will work with it? All the other NIK pluins work with Photoshop elemets.

Please excuse my approach going by the screenshot provided below but it's to express frustration in a growing trend of interface confusion I see spreading across websites started by Facebook's assumption we all need to be so organized and involved online. WE DON'T!

Below is a screenshot I had to resort to just so I could unsubscribe from receiving Bridge discussions notification in my email inbox. I went to a page I now can't find or can't remember where it is in all these options where I saw the word notifications and unclicked a whole mess of options but I'm still receiving these notifications in my inbox.

Please simplify all this.

The Feedback part of the site uses a separate backend from Photoshop.com. You can access your Feedback Forum account settings by clicking your name or profile picture for any of your entries on this forum.

Any idea on how to unsubscribe from and stop the Bridge email alerts I keep getting in my inbox? When I click on the "If you no longer want to receive alerts for Bridge discussions click "here", I'm just taken to the Photoshop.com Bridge discussion page list. I don't know where to go from there.

Most (all) sites (vendor's I've bought from or discussion forums I participate, i.e. Luminouse Landscape) make this a quick and easy one click "Safe Unsubscribe" experience. Not saying they all work though, it's just an easier process.

Oh, I just caught that tiny snigglet of information that is the key to figuring all this out.

You said I have to click on my name. I just did and now I see the same page you posted above of the screenshot showing the "Email and Notification" option. That didn't happen before or maybe I don't remember what came up because now that page provides completely different interface options different from my screenshot posted above. Some similar, some different that I don't know what and where all this is being changed.

Also the email alert on/off is across the board for all postings even when I post a topic. I just want to end alerts to when a new topic is started by someone else in Bridge discussions.

The level of complicated/nested options on this site makes me feel like I have dementia.

As you can see I don't hang out on Facebook. It's just as confusing. Any site that requires I download an app to participate in a discussion, makes me close the window and go to another more simpler site which there are plenty.

Oh god, I've been in feedback forum loop preference settings where if I try to access Account Information clicking on my name in this forum, click on Profile Information it asks for my email and password but says it's not correct.

I need to post somewhere in a forum to allow me to click on my name, so I can get to my real Profile Info I entered yesterday?

I'm lost.

2 different purposes Robert.

The User to User forums are for users to help each other.

This forum is for bug reports and feature requests - this forum software makes it possible to track bugs and vote on features, which is more difficult on the other forum software.

Hi, Have Elements 8 with Vista, email seems to be sending, no error messages but recipient not receiving my emails. This is very frustrating as I rely on this. Can anyone help me. Thanks
