Tools Pop Out Submenu Constantly

Every time I click on a tool on the toolbar, the sub-menu pops out and I then have to click on the tool again within the sub menu, or click off of the toolbar to close the menu. It's rather annoying, and only happens on my Mac Pro (trashcan). I've tried resetting all settings in preferences, but it only worked temporarily. Now it's back and here to stay, it seems. (2017.1.2 release)

Howdy Ben,

Are you using a tablet or stylus with this machine?  Any unusual pointing device?  How about keyboards?  Language setup?  It sort of sounds like you might have some sort of input conflict or overload.

Also, any reason you haven't updated (just so that I know you have the latest-greatest)?

Thanks,
David

No tablet, not stylus. Just standard mac keyboard and a standard 2 button mouse with scrolling wheel. Language, english. I haven't updated because the new version disabled the live previewing of text size and kerning while scrubbing the size/spacing value.

Howdy Ben,

I just confirmed, the text bug you mentioned IS FIXED in the very latest release (19.1.1).

As for the submenu, perhaps the trigger is another application you have open at the same time?  Or a resident utility app, such as for screen captures or music editing?

Awesome, i'll go ahead and update! Thanks for the heads up. I figured they'd fix that in due time.

As for the submenu issue, I don't have any other apps open at the same time. I've tried a lot of different things to get it to stop, but nothing seems to have an effect. Even checked to see if the double click speed of the mouse affected it. No luck. Don't use screen capture or music editing at the same time as PS.

Let us know if the update also fixes your tool submenu issue.

The update did not fix the submenu issue. (Yes, I restarted Mac and tested again)
