Problém posledního update Photoshop, nejde označit objekt, vrstva kliknutím myši

Error in new installation of latest Photoshop update. There has been a change in the behavior of marking objects, layers. When I click on an object, the object is not marked and I am not sure it was selected. Can be shifted but not transformed because no frame appears. It can be bypassed by CTRL-T, but it's an unnecessary extra step. Adobe support didn't believe me, remotely installed the older version, and then made sure it was.
