Please let me change the load screen :(

There has to be a way to change the image for this splash / load screen.  Just let me load some other image in there - my logo, a nice nature scene, something neutral and abstract, I don't really care what, but when the image is like this, for pete's sake at least give me an option...

When I launch Photoshop, I'm going to want to do something creative, and this image is not good for my creativity. I don't know if she's supposed to be abused or malnourished or a drug addict or what, but this is not good.

I don't mean this in a "wah, I need a safe space!" sense, I mean this in a "Ugh! Come on! I'm trying to work here!" sense, like if someone were engaging in disturbing inappropriate behaviour in the office.

I believe it's the much loved splash screen on Photoshop Debbie

On the plus side, a workaround to staring at the beloved splash screen load on my  older desktop is to read a good book. I'm getting books back to the library ever so much sooner. LOL

That'd take me away from my desk a bit longer than I'd like, but it would be much better than staring at the... creativity arsenic. :)

Agreed. Seeing the so-called artwork on the latest Photoshop feels like being assaulted.

So... As mentioned in another thread... on Windows you can create a Shortcut to start Photoshop without the Splash Screen.

Add this option to the starting Target line:

 --NoSplash

Put a space before the two dashes, of course, but no space between the dashes and NoSplash.

(How that gets done on a Mac is unknown to me.)

On Windows 10, after you create this shortcut you can right-click it and "Pin to Start" so it is always on your Start Panel (and then delete the shortcut if you want to).

There are only two minor drawbacks. First, if you start Photoshop from Lightroom, the shortcut will naturally not be used, so you may still get startled once in a while. But once Photoshop is running the Splash Screen doesn't show no matter how you start it, so just remember to use the shortcut before you call Photoshop from somewhere else. Second, without the Splash Screen, you have no way to know if Photoshop is actually starting until you eventually see it. The framework only shows up when the main window is nearly ready. But at least you don't have to look away until you guess the horror must be over.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Hideous Splash Screen !.

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but I just want to beg Adobe to change the dreadful, depressing splash screen I get when opening Photoshop CC 19.1.2.  Even a plain grey like the "About Photoshop" screen would be an improvement.  If it can't be changed, at least allow me to disable it.  Being greeted by a overdone, amateurish, sour faced women spoils my mood every single time. I try to look elsewhere till it fades, but I'm never quite fast enough.  What a pain.

If anyone has a fix for this that doesn't require expert mucking around under the system hood, it would be wonderful, but so far I haven't been able to find one.
