Photoshop: Window not activated by clicking title bar

For a window that has a single tab, if I click the title bar it does not activate that window. I have to click the tiny tab part of the window titlebar that has the filename.  Super fricken annoying!!!

Howdy Hugh,

Could you explain a little bit more about what you're encountering?  I don't quite follow you.  When you say "window" do you mean a document window?

Thanks,
David

Yes, document window. Steps to repro:

1. open 2 images

2. tile vertically so u see both on screen

3. notice the top of each image’s toolbar has a darker area w/ the filename (call it the “tab”) and the rest (call it “titlebar”)

4. click the tab part of a window. it activates the window as expected

5. click the titlebar part of a window. the window does not activate. the previously selected window is still selected

this causes much confusion for me. if window titlebar is clicked the software should focus the most recently used tab therein.

Just to be clear, you're expecting to click in the tab well (the empty area to the right of the tab) to active the document?
