If you make the brush really large, it will change from a brush to a cross. You can also change the visual cue for the brush under Preferences > Cursors.
Hope that helps,
David

Brushes go into precision mode after i leave PS to Lightroom. I have to restart computer to get back circle brushes. I go to preferences to change it back but that doesn't work. I suspect it has something to do with my Wacom tablet. Anyone have a answer for this.

TOOL CURSOR VIEW BUG:
THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING THROUGH THE LAST 3-4 VERSIONS OF PHOTOSHOP, PLEASE CORRECT THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M SO SICK OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE MY TOOLS, THESE ARE EXPENSIVE PROGRAMS AND USE USE THEM FOR WORK, AND 50% OF THE TIME (THATS HALF THE TIME I USE PHOTOSHOP) I ENCOUNTER THIS PROBLEM.
THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE ADOBE!! HELLO ADOBE!!! I'M TALKING YO YOU A D O B E!
THE PROBLEM: I CANT SEE MY TOOL CURSOR, WHICH IS KIND OF THE POINT.
AND IF I CANT SEE THE THE SIZE AND SHAPE OF MY TOOLS ON CURSOR THEN I CAN'T PHOTOSHOP. WELL UM DUH THAT SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HAVE FIXED BY NOW. ITS COMPLETELY UNPREDICTABLE AND RE-STARTING PHOTOSHOP DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM.
I USE A MACBOOK PRO - THIS PROBLEM BEEN OCCURRING SINCE 2012 ON LION THROUGH YOSEMITE
OH AND I'VE BEEN USING PHOTOSHOP FOR 16 YEARS
THANKS!

Hi everyone!
Yesterday i bought ASTROPAD and I tried it with IPAD pro and a macbook pro but while using the brush tool on a layer mask, I get crosshairs instead of a circle. I can change the brush size with the bracket keys and the size changes on the options bar, but I see a constant sized crosshair while brushing across the image. I also see the mouse cursor arrow. I don ́t want to see a cursor mouse and i want see a circle of the brush, it is possible?
Sorry fot my english! :)
