Photoshop: Tool to generate complex, realistic shadows

if I have a contoured figure I think a filter with variable parameters is necessary that allows me to generate realistic shadows. For the moment, I am creating some rather complex actions, but I realize that it is an important function. In 2018 I do not have yet to use these artifices: we need a specific filter.
