Photoshop: Strange Little Bulls-Eye I Can't Get to Turn Off

Hi. I'm using Photoshop CS5 and my kitten sat on my tablet and turned on a little bulls-eye with a 1 next to it on my image. It seems to be focused on a specific spot; when I zoom in, the bull's eye gets smaller. I think it might be focused on a pixel. Whatever the case, I can't turn it off, and it's in the way; it's rather annoying. I tried closing the image and coming back but it's still there. How can I turn it off? Thank you.

It sounds like your cat put down a Color Sampler. To remove them, go to the Color Sampler tool (same tool slot at the Eyedropper tool). Select the Color Sampler tool and choose "Clear All" from the options bar at the top.

And never, ever touch the "I" key and the mouse click at the same time again.

A suggestion for Adobe: add a menu item that resets *ALL* of the tools to normal mode. There are so many magic keys ("shortcuts") that can be fumble fingered into that there desperately needs to be a way to "normalize everything".

Shift+i cycles through the modes for the eyedropper/ ruler/ note/ count tool. What counts as *normal* will differ from user to user.

You are assuming that I understood that that bullseye was from that tool collection. Had I understood that, I wouldn't have needed to google my way to this question. I simply understood that PS wasn't acting like normal. When I get into that unknown/it's-not-working-right state, it would be *EXTREMELY* useful to be able to put all tools (as in every last tool) back into a normal, standard state. e.g. remove that bullseye regardless of how it got there.
